Uh oh, all bombs! According to this issue of Quo Vadis, Middlesex College was once more munition than it was land. At a staggering 30,000 item total, unexploded projectiles from WWI remained in the ground between North and East Halls through WWII, when an army hospital was built on campus for the war effort. It was at this time that soldiers who had been there prior remembered that they were walking on bombs and the search began in earnest!
