🧭 Day One: Complete! 🗺️
What an incredible day of learning, exploring, and proving that sometimes the best technology is the one that doesn’t require batteries.
Today, students dove into the fundamentals of land navigation, map reading, compass work, and the art of finding your way using skills that have stood the test of time. After classroom instruction, it was time to hit the field and put those new skills to work during a fun, hands-on navigation exercise. (reveresriders.org)
The best part? Watching confidence grow with every checkpoint found and every lesson learned.
From families and first-timers to experienced outdoorsmen, everyone had a great time learning practical skills, sharing laughs, and enjoying a beautiful day outdoors.
Tomorrow, we take it up a notch as we dive deeper into terrain analysis and advanced land navigation concepts.
When the GPS quits, batteries die, or cell service disappears, these are the skills that keep you moving forward.

June 6, 1944.
On this day, 82 years ago, thousands of brave American, British, Canadian, and Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy in one of the most significant military operations in history. Their courage, sacrifice, and determination helped turn the tide of World War II and secured the freedoms many of us enjoy today.
This reel features photographs captured by a Revere’s Riders volunteer during a visit to the beaches of Normandy—ground once crossed by heroes who faced unimaginable odds in defense of liberty.
As we reflect on D-Day, we remember those who never made it home, honor the veterans who carried the burden of freedom forward, and express our gratitude to all Allied forces who stood together on that historic day.
May we never forget the sacrifice made on these shores, and may we continue to preserve the values they fought to protect.
