Got the old 60 out to plant some green beans this afternoon

Felt like I was a little late to the party this spring, but is complete here. Well, with the exception of a couple wet spots that was too soggy to pull the planter through. On to hay, spray, and nitrogen!

Most of the ground was in good shape today, but where it was wet, it was WET! Nonetheless, first crop beans are finished, and another field of corn done. Now we see what kind of weather mother nature decides to throw us the next few days.

If I wait til conditions are perfect, I'd probably never get anything done.

Hard to believe that this dragged on for 6 weeks or so, but I finally made it! I still made some hay in a couple fields after starting beans, so there's some pictures of that too! Special thanks to my wife for tolerating my moodiness this entire season, I'm sure she deserves some sort of award!

All was going well until a gathering chain left the chat. At least some corn got shelled today though.

Grass has grown very slow over this summer. It's taken two months for this pasture to recover, but it's fairly lush and green for now. Would be nice to see a little rain to keep this going.

Just out here playing around with some old junk here at the homestead! Been a few years since the plow has been on the old C Farmall, so decided to get it out back together and mount it up. Figured we might as well plow some of the garden up that had turned to weeds over the summer. Andrew hopped on and took it for a few passes. Wheels need to be spaced out, and I need to figure out the adjustments better, but we're hoping to get it shined up yet!

I think the video on this 8850 is a little deceiving, it was moving faster than it looks in the video! Maybe after this one I'll upload some red stuff!
