We aren’t going to please everyone but we made the best decision we could based on the poll and based on the vision we have of added money and prizes for 2027 state finals. We have drastically increased the added money and added youth saddles as well for 2027. DRH Youth Rodeo Association is sponsoring our youth short go with 4 saddles 12 buckles 12 saddle pads 12 breast collars and $1000 added money to youth short go. FLC and Lynn Anderson are sponsoring our reserve champion buckles to all open D’s and part of our added money in the open. Acosta Performance Horses & NBHA TX08 is sponsoring added money to the open. Triple Crown & Bryan Taylor will be providing a cook out on Saturday evening for everyone. We will continue to add more as we navigate through the year up to the finals but it’s going to be a great time again!

We’re excited to announce a BIG expansion for NBHA in 2027!

We are proud to welcome Districts 11 & 12 to our region, expanding our coverage to represent ALL of South Texas!

When we stepped into the role of NBHA District Directors, our goal was to build something that our barrel racers could be proud to be a part of. We truly love NBHA and have enjoyed growing this division, creating great events, and giving our racers more opportunities to compete.

Now, we’re excited to take that vision even further.

2027 will bring a new chapter for NBHA in South Texas, and we can’t wait to welcome Districts 11 & 12 to the family!

Thank you to every contestant, family, sponsor, and supporter who has helped us grow. We’re just getting started!

What an incredible first year as NBHA District Directors!

We are incredibly proud of what we have been able to accomplish throughout 2026 — from 11 sanctioned races, 68 members, $20,475 awarded, and $5,500 in added money, to donating nearly $4,000 in prizes for the NBHA Texas State Finals.

But beyond the numbers, we are most proud of the people who made this year so special. Thank you to every contestant, parent, and family who trusted us, supported us, and continued to show up at our rodeos throughout the year. Your support is what makes all of this possible, and we truly appreciate every one of you.

We are incredibly proud of our first year and excited to see what the 2027 NBHA season brings!

Membership renewals will be approaching soon, and we’ll keep everyone posted with all the details. We can’t wait to do it all again!
