On June 12th, we’re celebrating 5 years in Edina! We love our community here - thank you for being a part of it.

On a Friday five years ago, we opened our Edina scoop shop. It was also the first night of the summer that there was live music in the Plaza!

To celebrate our five years in Edina, we have a few fun things going on this Friday, June 12th.

We’ll be scooping Mini Scoop Flights! 5 mini one-ounce scoops in a double cup, for $5. Pick your flavors and enjoy!

Purchases of 5 pints will receive $5 off!

We’ll also have a special on 5-packs of stickers. Pick out 5 stickers, get them all for $5!

Lastly, Friday evening will see the debut of a new flavor, Cookie Dough Party! (CDP) 🍪 This sweet, light vanilla ice cream with lots of gluten free cookie dough and sprinkles is sure to delight. Like our opening day, this Friday is also the first night of the 50th & France Summer Concert Series with live music in the Plaza. Cookie Dough Party will be scooping exclusively on Friday evenings throughout the summer during live music! 🎶

Happy Flavor Launch Friday! June flavors are here and we can’t wait to start scooping them for you.

🎉 Ashlee’s Birthday Celebration - Toasted coconut and salted caramel ice creams with a hint of banana, and don’t forget the sprinkles. June is Ashlee’s birthday month, but we all get to celebrate with deliciousness! GLUTEN FREE | Contains milk, eggs, coconut

🍓🍫Strawberry Stracciatella - We start with our killer vanilla bean ice cream and swirl in organic strawberry sauce and two types of chocolate. The tart and fruity strawberry is accented by some crunch from the handmade chocolate freckles. GLUTEN FREE | Contains milk, eggs

🍑Peach Sorbet with Raspberry Ripple - A fresh white peach sorbet with a ripple of raspberry compote throughout. It’s like summer in a scoop. GLUTEN FREE, VEGAN

🍃Basil - We use real, fresh basil and steep it right into our from-scratch ice cream base. This flavor is bright, fresh, smooth, slightly floral and herby, with a vibrant green color! It’s simple, yet complex and delicious. It’s a sure sign summer is here. GLUTEN FREE | Contains milk, eggs

Revolving flavors Almond Toffee Ganache, Coffee Toffee, and Rhubarb Cinnamon Almond are also back this month!

Every week we’ll ask our scoopers a few fun questions. Molly is next, who has been scooping at Sweet Science for more than 1.5 years!

🍌 Favorite Sweet Science flavors of all time: Malted Vanilla (MV), a January-March revolving flavor, and Banana Caramel Blondie (BCB), a January seasonal flavor!

🍨 What would you order at the shop right now? I would order a Split Single on a cake cone of Hazelnut Brownie (HB) and Vanilla Mint Fudge (VMF) with torched marshmallow fluff on top!

🤟🏻 A memorable moment while scooping: It is always memorable when I am able to use the sign language I know to communicate with deaf customers!

For years, we’ve admired Sift Gluten Free and the incredible treats they create, so teaming up for National Donut Day felt like a natural fit.

As fellow small business owners, we share a passion for making memorable desserts and creating experiences that bring people together. We also share many of the same customers, from gluten-free food lovers to dessert enthusiasts who appreciate thoughtfully crafted treats!

We’ve created two donut-inspired ice creams that combine everything we love about both brands: scratch-made treats, creative flavors, and a little bit of fun.

🍩 Vegan Donut Party - VDP�Sift’s vegan chocolate donuts, icing, sprinkles and all, folded into our vegan vanilla ice cream with a fudge swirl and an extra shower of sprinkles. Vegan & gluten free. Contains cashews & coconut.

🍩 Brown Butter Donut Caramel - BbDC�Creamy brown butter ice cream swirled with rich caramel and packed with Sift’s chocolate donuts. Nutty, buttery, sweet, and a little nostalgic. Gluten free. Contains milk, eggs & coconut.

Starting this Friday (National Donut Day), join us at our Edina shop through Sunday for the debut scoop of these limited-time collaboration flavors. Starting Friday, you’ll also be able to find pints and single cups at Sift Gluten Free!

✨Scooper Spotlight✨

Every week we’ll ask our scoopers a few fun questions. This week, we’ve got Savana, who has been working for Sweet Science for 4 years!

🍉 Favorite Sweet Science flavor of all time: It’s hard to pick just one! Rocky Road (Ro2) in April, Snicker Doodle (SD) in October. I miss Watermelon Lime Sorbet, a retired flavor.

❤️ Favorite part about working at Sweet Science: The little things - a customer asking, “So, how was New Year’s Eve with your mom and older brother?” when I had forgotten mentioning that a few weeks earlier. Getting to see my favorite regulars, who are as interested in my life as I am in theirs. Making lasting friendships with my coworkers. Sweet Science really is more than just the ice cream we’re serving.

🍨 Favorite sundae combination: A split of Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie (PbCC) and Vanilla Bean (V) with Peanut Butter Cup Bites, Cookie Dough, and Torched Marshmallow Fluff/Whipped Cream - it’s an all-year combo! Upcoming in June, try a scoop of Basil (B) with Strawberry Sauce and Whipped Cream - don’t knock it ’til you try it!

Our gluten-free waffle cones are a delicious vessel for our ice cream!

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at waffle cone making - we’ll be doing lots of it this summer. Our kitchen team in St. Paul makes our batter from scratch. We receive it at the shop in Edina, heat up our irons, and get to waffling!

The waffles are cooked to a dark golden brown. When the timer goes off, waffles are transferred to the rollers where they are shaped into cones. After sitting in the rollers for a bit, cones cool on a wire rack. Then they move to their serving racks in stacks of 4!

Anytime someone comes into the shop and says, “It smells so good in here,” it makes a waffler’s day. Thank you! Hope to scoop you up a cone soon 🧇

It’s getting warm out here - and we are starting our Summer Hours at our Edina scoop shop!

Starting Memorial Day, we will be open on Mondays! The shop will open everyday at 12pm. And, we will be open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights!

Sunday-Thursday: 12-9pm
Friday-Saturday: 12-10pm

Berry Crumble has been my long-time forever favorite! Blackberry-raspberry sauce swirled through creamy vanilla bean ice cream with gluten free buttery crumble. Just, yum.
