We're in the thick of spring gala season right now. Long days. Lots of editing. Plenty of coffee.

So last week, we hit pause and headed to the escape room at Mall of America for a BKM Funsies day!

Did we escape? Technically... no. But we only needed 2 hints, and we got on such a hot streak at the end that they paused the timer briefly to let us finish. We're calling that a win!

Get well soon, Jared. We missed you in there (and could've used you on that last puzzle)!

We added a 24'x12' c*c wall to our studio last year, and we've been looking for every excuse to use it!

This shoot with was a great one. We partnered with their team to film a series of internal training videos for one of their clients, and the c*c wall gave us exactly what we needed: a clean, professional background that keeps the focus on the person in front of the camera. Pair that with our sound-treated space and you've got a perfect, fully controlled studio environment for filming!

We always have a blast going behind the scenes with the Minnesota Zoo Foundation. Getting an up-close look at the care and dedication they give every animal never gets old. This year, we're telling the stories of Snooki 🐢 and Sadie 🐻!

It's that time of year! We're hiring for our 2026 Video Production SummerInternship.

This is a paid, full-time role (June–August 2026, with potential to extend into fall) based out of our studio in Edina. You'll get hands-on experience assisting on video shoots, learning our post-production workflow, and sitting in on creative meetings– all while helping nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations tell stories that matter.

The team is so excited to welcome Rob as our new Lead Cinematographer. You’ll usually find him lighting and shooting on set. Rob developed a love for creating photos and videos after taking an art class in high school. After all those years, he joins us at BKM to help bring your stories to light.

We had a zoo-per time at the Minnesota Zoo! 🐾

The Blue Key Media team spent an unforgettable day filming at the 🎥✨ It was especially memorable because we witnessed the newly-rescued wallabies enter their habitat for the very first time! 🦘

The team saw firsthand all of the amazing care staff provide daily to rescued animals, which is made possible by the generosity of the zoo’s donors.

We’re honored to be part of a project that helps share the zoo’s mission and supports such impactful work! 😊

We continue our journey through the neuroscience field! 🧠🎬

The BKM team spent two wonderful days filming with Mark. We learned about his story and connection to the neuroscience space. His work in mathematics is an often overlooked, yet critical, aspect of the field that we are excited to highlight in the docuseries. This series aims to show students that anyone can be a neuroscientist and invites them to explore it as a potential career or field of study. 🥼🎓

We’re thrilled to welcome Adele Adams to Blue Key Media! 🎉

Adele joins us as a Video Production Intern this summer. She is currently attending college at pursuing a BA in Film and a minor in China Studies. At school, she is co-president of two film-related clubs, and a manager at the school’s tutoring center. As an intern, you can find Adele capturing BTS content on set, managing the company’s social media platforms, and assisting post-production workflows. Outside of school and work, she loves to draw, watch movies, and thrift.
