🚆 METRO Green Line Extension is in testing phase

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the METRO Green Line Extension Light Rail Transit project—and here’s the latest update.

While there isn’t an exact opening date yet, service is expected to begin in 2027, and the project is getting closer every day.

If you’ve seen trains moving along the tracks, that’s part of the current testing phase as crews prepare the line for service.

🚗 Carpooling is a great option if you have a friend or coworker to ride with. You can split the cost of gas, reduce wear and tear on your vehicle, and even use the HOV lane. Don’t have a ride partner? We offer a free regional ride-matching system to help you find one.

🚌 Looking for affordable transit options? We can help you explore bus passes and programs that make riding transit more accessible.

💳 The Transit Assistance Program (TAP) offers reduced-fare rides ($1 per trip) for qualifying low- or fixed-income riders. Metropass is another option—offering unlimited rides for $83/month, with pre-tax payroll deductions through participating employers.
