How do Artists Get Paid For Gigs (Engagements)
There’s two ways for you to compensate an artist for your gig/event/venue. Number 1: The flat fee. You and the booking agent will mutually agree on a price and that's it. Pretty straightforward. The 2nd is split based on turnout. This generally limits the venue's cost if the event is a bust, but will cost more than the flat fee if the event is a success. When you work with Mosaic Sounds, we’ll make sure we’re able to find something that works for you, the promoters, and is fair to the artists. Follow us for more, DM us your questions.
Here’s 3 Things to Consider when booking an artist for you venue: What do you need out of our artist? Do you need an artist that will fill seats and sell tickets, or are you expecting to be booked solid and need an artist that will deliver a good time. Sure you can have both, but generally speaking the better an artist is at either of those things, the more expensive they are. The artists that draw the biggest audiences, and deliver the best times, cost the most. That brings us to budget. We live in a world that comes down to the almighty dollar! When you work with Mosaic Sounds, we’ll work to book an artist that meets your needs in your budget. Number 3: Technical requirements! Often overlooked by smaller venues, which is unfortunate because smaller venues are the ones most likely to have issues meeting minimal technical requirements. We just want to make sure the artist can deliver the experience you expect. Reach out to us if you’re looking to book an artist and follow us for part two of things to consider when booking an artist.
