TFMS Archery

TFMS Archery had a good showing for our first 10/15 tournament of the season. Bring on the State Qualifiers!

We were led by M. Smith (288), V. Northcutt (265), and B. Walden (260). M. Smith finished 1st in middle school girls and 2nd overall girls, V. Northcutt finished 4th in middle school boys , and B. Walden was 4th in middle school girls.

Next up 12/7 at Notre Dame.

The 24/25 season has started!!! We has a good showing at Calvary Christian school on Saturday. We were led by B. Rhymer (283), S. Milner (281), and M. Smith (280). M. Smith finished 2nd in middle school girls, 3rd in overall girls, B. Walden finished 4th in middle school girls, B. Rhymer finished 2nd in middle school boys 4th in overall boys, and S. Milner finished 3rd in middle school boys.

Only 10 day left till try outs. No experience necessary, no equipment needed.

Lucas was recognized tonight as a Enquirer All Star for his tournaments with Dixie this season. The top ten male high school archers were invited. He was named a First Team All Star. Congrats and keep making TFMS proud next season at Dixie.

Tonight we honor our Senior archers. Spencer has been participating in KY NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) for 6 years. His highlights include:

• Shot a season high score of 285 at the Dixie Cup to finish in 4th place.
• Shot 282 at Beechwood to finish in 4th place.
• Shot 284 at Calvary Christian to finish in 2nd place.
• Shot 280 at Villa Madonna to finish in 4th place.
• Shot 270 at Summit View to finish in 2nd place.
• Was selected for Honorable Mention for the 2023/2024 Cincinnati Enquirer’s Boy’s Archery All-Star Team this year.
• Spencer was also named to the Cincinnati Enquirer’s All-Star Archery 1st Team his Junior year and Honorable Mention is Sophomore year.
• Spencer’s career high score is 288 which was at the 2023 KHSAA Region 6 Tournament. This score ranks 12th on the list of highest scores in Dixie history.
• Overall, Spencer finished 2nd in two tournaments and 3rd in three tournaments.
• There are on 334 scores in Dixie history that are 275 or higher. Spencer has 31 of those (almost 10%).
• Spencer will be continuing his education at Northern Kentucky University.
