Thousands on Rikers are barred from voting—many eligible, not convicted of a crime. Meanwhile, Trump, a convicted felon, retains his right to vote while others in Florida are denied. This election, let’s vote to build a system where every voice truly matters. Make your vote count for those who can’t.

The Harlem Rally for Harris-Walz was a huge success. Thank you to all the elected officials, labor unions, and advocates who stood with us, especially our city and state leaders, Mayor Eric Adams & Governor Kathy Hochul. NY is united and ready to defeat Trump in November. Special thanks to my Congressman Adriano Espaillat & District Leader Corey Ortega for bringing us together.
No DNC for NYC? New York Dems rally for Harris in Harlem anyway NYC’s top Democrats rallied for the Harris-Walz ticket, delivering a (mostly) unified message that (mostly) succeeded in drowning out pro-Palestine protesters outside the event.
**Statement from Joshua A. Clennon, Candidate for New York State Assembly District 70**
Today, I share with profound disappointment that our campaign’s appeal to restore our ballot access has been unsuccessful. This decision, shaped by established political interests, is a setback not just for our campaign but poses a significant concern for the future stewardship of Harlem. It underscores a critical need for a new, accountable political leadership that truly represents the aspirations of our community.
Many of you have asked if you can still support our campaign by writing in my name on the ballot. The answer is a resolute yes. Over the next few days, I will be reflecting with my family on our next steps. Regardless of this decision, our commitment to Harlem remains firm. Each write-in vote we receive will be a testament to our ongoing movement and the enduring spirit of our supporters.
As we look to the future, I urge everyone to stay involved. This is not the end of our journey; it is only a new beginning. The path forward will be revealed in due course, and it promises new opportunities to ensure fair representation and the continued prosperity of our beloved Harlem.
I encourage every resident of Harlem to make their voice heard on June 25th. The stakes are too high for complacency. Your continued support and engagement are crucial as we strive to preserve the unique heritage and vibrant future of Harlem. Thank you for your steadfast dedication and belief in our cause. Together, we will continue to fight for the transformative change that Harlem deserves.

Housing experts say there just aren't enough homes in the U.S. The United States is millions of homes short of demand, and lacks enough affordable housing units. And many Americans feel like housing costs are eating up too much of their take-home pay.
