another race another shot at race #9 here we are again at race #9, 5-9-26. we are getting better and ge...

We made the drive to pick up the transmission today. I am very excited to get this thing back in the car and see what it does. They changed a few things to fit there liking and to fit the car, in the transmission and converter, so we will see how it does the next time out.

I have a few other things to look at on the car (need to order some parts) and the last major piece, the motor, and we can go do some testing.

There's a couple races id like to hit before the end of the year, but well see if the stars align and I can make them. Spending lots of money getting this car done right and making sure its safe. Also trying to make me better off the tree so I have more chances to win more races.

Thanks to the companies that have helped me get to where im at today and look forward to working with more next season to get me farther. Who knows, maybe even win an event!?!

Today we got the call from the machine shop that we in fact blew a head gasket and the motor has to come completely apart to fix the surface of the block. But we heard that everything else in the motor looked good, so hopefully that will be a good thing.

We also heard from the transmission shop that they were finishing up our transmission and converter and it should be completely rebuilt by tomorrow and ready for pickup, so there's that.

Well we got the motor dropped off at the machine shop. We went over our plans and we are hoping that this is the best outcome and will be "cheap" fix. But if we find something it will be fixed right and be good to go either way.

Well monday we got the motor and transmission out of the racecar. We got the transmission and torque converter to the overhaul shop afterwords. There going to go through it, tell me what I have and then we'll set it up for the car. Step 1 done. Motor we have a few more things to take off it, then next Monday we drop it off at the overhaul shop to make sure its 100% and ready for next year. We have some other surprises up our sleeve as well. Can't wait to get everything back together and get this thing tested and dial in
It will be a whole new/different car for next season. Lots of changes, all good.
