As Flaanimal 6.0 arrivals approach, 5.0 remains as great as ever. There aren’t many unsold frames left to work with, but the last ones trickle out here and there. Wade’s is yet another personalized build with special requests including the shock stop seatpost and handlebars which provide a softer and more ergonomic ride. Wade also opted for a power meter spider on his cranks. The Poteau Mountain semi slick gravel tire boasts a three year develop and secured three new patents for its unique design. The rest of the build is a go-to mix of GRX drivetrain, our very own ultra strong 3.0X wheels, and of course a Quasar saddle.

Enjoy your new Flaanimal Wade! She’s an absolute beaut.

Shimano or Sram for the best gravel groupset? We get that question a lot. Logan over at Velo put in a deep think peice on the matter and it gets into a lot of the nuance that separates these groupset offerings

WE’VE GOT TOO MUCH STUFF! So, come by Rodeo HQ June 26, 3-6pm, for a good old warehouse sale. We’ve gone through our stuff and pulled out an anything that doesn’t spark joy, and it’ll all be on sale for great prices because we want it gone! Its impossible to list everything we’ve got laying around to sell, but there is a lot and a little bit of everything. Drivetrains, components, handlebars, stems, seatpost, wheelsets, demo bikes, new things, used things.SO. MUCH. STUFF. Oh, and we’re also selling our working kegorator.

Come on by. Hang out. We have chairs and drinks. We’ve got Flaanimal 6 steel arriving so we will be displaying bikes. You can just chill and nerd out with us. We’re mostly super friendly. After the party maybe there will be an after party, like a ride out to south table. If you ride here you get five bucks off your purchase.

Wanna sell something? Bring a table and your stuff and post up. We’re happy to host.

See you soon! Address is at the bottom of our website. Lakewood, Colorado represent.

There's an excellent, low mileage TD3 on sale on The Radavist. We know the owner, and the bike is low mileage because he got the wrong size and eventually adopted a 6.0 Ti in 54cm instead. Check it out! https://theradavist.com/bazaar/item/VI95Fh6HKVzDNyZtduir

Hold onto your butts indeed! Brindle Custom Finishes lost control of their inhibitions and created the next great custom paint manifesto with a Rodeo as the canvas. We would take you on a verbal tour of this bike, but what’s the point? You have to SEE the details to understand, and preferably you’ll see the details with 3D glasses, because yes he did that too.

We do love an absolutely joyful paint project like this. All the color. All the craftsmanship, all the winks and details. Is that the Google video game that loads when the internet is down?!

By the way, we don’t paint non-Rodeo bikes, but Brindle does, and if Brindle can pull this project off, they can do whatever you dream up too.

Happy New Bike Day, Adam!

Did y’all see that new Ferrari EV? Well, this isn’t that, thank God. This is a lovely Flaanimal 5.0, custom painted in a shade of red that certainly could be called “rossa-something-or-other”. Johnny Ive did not design this bike, we did, FTW! This build is set up for actual unironic road duty! Look at those beautiful not-even-huge slick tires. Reminds us of kinder, gentler days of cycling in a good way. But what’s this? Extra flat bar brake levers up front? Absolutely. Why? Well, they work quite nicely and the customer asked for them. We build our not-Ferraris one at a time around here, and you can have them any way you like.

Happy new Flaanimal 5 day, Mr Capobianco! It may not be a prancing horse, but that’s only because a Flaanimal is actually an alpaca.

We mostly only get to see our bikes when they’re sparkling new. We love a shiny bike, but we love a well ridden bike even more. When Brandon stopped by Rodeo HQ with his Flaanimal 5 Ti, it stopped us in our tracks with it’s gorgeous Ti fenders, sparkly gold bits, and a patina that can only come from living a good life on road and trail. Brandon doesn’t like any batteries on his bike, but the dynamo hub gets a pass and powers that front Supernova light as long as he keeps pedaling - which he does plenty of. The fenders were custom made by Ti Cycles, as was the front mud flap, by Brandon.

Keep your eyes out for this bike, Brandon, and his beautiful black dog Chester nationwide, because he’s on a bit of a road trip walkabout around the country, and he may just be riding on a dirt road in your town.

Safe travels, Brandon!

Our Lancia Rally car inspired TD4.2 build is back from it's show tour with FSA / Vision and is now ready to find a home. Already kitted to the nines, the build got that much better with the addition of a San Util Designs custom made and matched frame bag. The vibes were already immaculate, but they got even better. Just add mud! https://rodeo-labs.com/product/td4-2-61cm-lancia-rally-car-tribute-build/

We don’t white label, we do it the hard way and work to get the details right, because we’re cyclists too, and we want to ride in gear that works!

We create small batches of our clothing, so certain sizes and styles can sell out fairly quickly. This is our first major summer kit refresh in over a year.

A lot of people have been DMing and asking: Are we going to be at Unbound this year? It’s worth a quick note here to respond. No, we aren’t loading the whole company into the van and doing the whole expo / race on this lap around the sun. We’ve been die hard Unbound fans since our first go in 2015, which was the infamous Mud Year. We’ve loved it ever since. It’s grown up a lot since then, and is arguably the most important event to attend in the gravel world at this point. So, what business does a bike business have with skipping a year? In a way, it’s an unthinkable thing to do! That said, we aren’t sitting this one out for any big reason, we just have some on years and some off years. It’s important to mix up the schedule and keep things fresh so that we stay inspired by variety. Sometimes it’s good just to step back and watch the incredible spectacle of it all and use it as an opportunity to reflect on the state of gravel and big events. It’s also good to get some fomo and use that to inspire the next time we go. But even if Rodeo THE COMPANY won’t be there this year, Rodeo THE COMMUNITY is definitely at Unbound this year in force. We know this from all the notes, tags, pics, and messages we’ve seen in the last month. Honestly you being there and representing Rodeo the community of passionate riders fills us with so much pride. It’s truly a beautiful thing to see.

To everyone riding, we wish you an absolutely filthy, mud covered go at it, but not so much mud that your wheels don’t turn! 😂. If it’s fast go for those PRs! If it’s slow and epic, just take each step and pedal stroke at a time. If you feel like you can’t go on, pull over and regroup. The highs and lows are inevitable, and they both pass. Despite what the industry wants you believe, Unbound is not about the bike, it’s about your mindset. If three singlespeed beach cruisers can make it, most any other bike can too. You’ve got this!

We’ll be watching from afar and looking forward to the next time we can share a race day wheel with y’all. Bring home some epic stories! 🙌💛
