We wanted to take a moment to highlight Jewish authors and stories — some which we’re sure you’ve read and loved, some which may be new to you!

Jewish language, scholarship, and heritage has always shaped our communities and culture in important and vital ways, even while facing challenges and erasure efforts. Celebrating and seeking out these stories are an important part of correcting antisemitism 💙

It’s Children’s Book Week! 🤹📖

At Edgewater Books we care deeply about fostering a love of reading early on in a child’s life, and meeting them where they’re at to keep them reading year after year! That’s why we carry a wide range of children’s books that cater to different interests, reading levels, and identities.

Non-English books, early readers, graphic novels, picture books, chapter books, young adult… you name it — we got it!

It warms our hearts when we get to help our youngest customers fall in love with a new book. We hope to be even a small part of supporting the next generation’s love for reading! 💕🍎

Earth Day is April 22! 🌏🌱☀️

Here are a few ways Edgewater Books tries to do right by our home planet all year round:

♻️ we carry primarily USED books, giving books a second life and reducing our need to print more new books to stock the shelves.

📚 any books that aren’t sold to our lovely customers go to a fantastic donation partner that redistributes and recycles books, so we know they aren’t headed to the landfill

🦁 our adorable stuffed animals support Wildlife Tree, an organization helping educate people and protect animals around the world

🌳 we stock titles that help educate us all about the state of the environment and how we can be better stewards… one of those titles “The Hidden Life of Trees” is our April BOOK CLUB pick that we’ll be discussing this SUNDAY 5:30-6:30. We would love to see you there for quality conversation.
