Talon Robotics was recently invited to tour Seagate alongside FTC team Piece of Cake! Our team members had a blast exploring the company, learning about exciting career paths in tech, and seeing innovation in action. Huge thanks to Seagate for welcoming us and inspiring the next generation of engineers!

Talon Robotics just wrapped up our second annual two-week Girls-Who-Code Coding Camp!

Throughout the camp, middle and high school girls explored coding taught by Talon members, with about 10 participants each day. They learned subjects such as Data & AI, Cybersecurity, P5.js, Python, Web Development, and Scratch. Thank you so much, our wonderful alumni Shruti, Talon girls, and the program, for making this camp possible!

On the final day, the girls presented their projects at a showcase for teachers and families, followed by a celebration where they received their Certificates of Completion.

We are already making plans for next year’s camp, so stay tuned!

We had our FLL kickoff yesterday! First Lego League is an incredible program and we are super grateful we can support it even as a high school team! We host around 4-5 teams, each with two parent mentors and at least one Talon mentor. This year’s kickoff was emceed by one of our former FLL teams, the Incredibots! We were super happy to have them back and continue their involvement in the program! Overall, it was a great day of teams coming together to get excited for a great season!!

We are in need of more parent mentors for our upcoming FTC season! Parents work in teams of two to cover 3 days a week (two days after school and one day on the weekend), our program kicks off September 7th and runs through November.

By mentoring FTC you guarantee your child a slot in our program, which has consistently reached capacity quickly.

We welcome any parental support, no technical experience is needed, we’d love to have you in our program!
