Yoga Nidra, commonly known as yogic sleep, is a practice to experience a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping states. Here, the physical body rests, but the brain wakes up and monitors the physical body. In other words, yoga nidra is mental sleep, sleep with full consciousness. It is said that 1 hour of yoga nidra equals 4 hours of sleep.
