Beacon EmbeddedWorks’ W5+ and Torpedo+ Wireless computing modules are ideal for supporting reconnaissance systems used in drones and ground-based robots that require high-performance processing, fast camera interfaces, and AI at the edge, all within limited board space, constrained power budgets, and exposure to temperature extremes, vibration, and dust.
These systems are deployed to perform ISR, EOD, and other hazardous tasks, transferring risk from personnel to machines. Designed and manufactured under ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified quality systems, with ITAR registration Beacon’s SoMs support controlled, secure deployment in mission-critical applications requiring real-time video processing and computer vision to assess all environments.

Medical imaging systems are expected to deliver clear, reliable results when it matters most.
Beacon computing modules are designed to support that level of performance in compact, power-efficient systems.
Portable ultrasound is a good example.
These devices need to be compact, power efficient, and high performance enough to produce clear, real-time imaging.
When imaging informs immediate decisions, consistency isn’t optional.
Used by EMTs to assess internal injuries, with imaging data securely transmitted to ER teams during transport.
Computing modules like the i.MX 8M Plus SoM enable feature-dense, high-performance imaging while maintaining power and size constraints.
Developed and manufactured under ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 certified quality systems to support the control required for regulated medical devices.
Because it doesn’t just need to work.
It needs to work every time.

Day 2 at the Robotics Summit with WPG Americas.
We're hearing a common challenge from engineers developing next-generation robotics systems: how to add more performance, connectivity, and intelligence without increasing power consumption or taking up more space.
Those conversations are exactly why events like this are valuable.
It's been great connecting with engineers and discussing the technologies helping shape the future of robotics.

We’re at the Robotics Summit this week with WPG Americas in booth #501.
Beacon EmbeddedWorks is there showcasing our embedded computing modules designed for robotics, automation, edge AI, and other performance critical applications where size, power efficiency, and reliability matter.
If you’re attending the show, stop by booth #501 and say hello. Looking forward to some great conversations these two days.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸 is more than a long weekend.
It’s a time to remember the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and to honor the families who carry that loss every day.
We remember. We honor. We are grateful.

Great conversations yesterday at the NXP Americas DFAE Technical Training Expo 2026.
We were there showcasing Beacon’s embedded computing modules built on NXP technology, including the i.MX 8M family along with our i.MX 93 and i.MX 95 SoMs.
It was great connecting with so many distributor FAEs and technical teams. It's exciting hearing about the applications and technologies gaining momentum across the embedded space. A lot of interest around edge AI, compact designs, power optimization, and connected systems.
Always appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with partners like NXP and be part of the conversations shaping the next generation of embedded devices.

Because Beacon engineers and manufactures in the same US facility, production realities shape design decisions early.
That means component selection, layout considerations, test access, and long-term availability are considered from the start, helping customers avoid late-stage changes and unexpected production challenges.
The result is a smoother path from concept to production, with a partner that stays accountable from schematics through continued production.

Great to be exhibiting at the 2026 Arrow Minnesota Tech Expo.
A lot of strong conversations around where embedded systems are headed. Real challenges. No fluff.
Always good to connect with engineers working through the details that actually make or break a product.

Wearable devices place unique demands on manufacturing quality and process control.
Whether it’s a wearable defibrillator, soldier tracking for aerospace and defense, or smart glasses guiding order pickers in industrial warehouses, these devices must perform reliably while worn, moved, and exposed to real world conditions.
Beacon engineers and manufactures embedded computing modules in the US within an ITAR registered facility, supported by quality certifications like ISO 9001 and AS9100 and ISO 13485. That foundation allows Beacon to build compact, low power wearable solutions for applications where reliability, traceability, and consistency are critical.

Customization does not end with hardware features.
Beacon EmbeddedWorks customizes manufacturing and test processes to meet customer and application requirements, including advanced 3D inspection, unique validation steps, and documentation needs. We also adapt processes such as leaded or unleaded assembly and specialize in conformal coating materials based on customer specifications.
When your product has higher expectations, your manufacturing and testing process should too.
