Kit serves as a lead volunteer in Embrace Childcare every Wednesday during the ministry year, and we’re so grateful for the way she loves and serves the moms and kids in our Embrace Moms group here at Grace Church through the OneLess ministry!

“Serving in Embrace Moms childcare has been such a joy! The kids are so sweet, energetic, and full of personality, and it’s been such a blessing building relationships with both them and their moms. I love helping create a fun and caring space where moms can rest, connect, and grow in community while knowing their children are deeply loved and cared for. It’s one of the most life-giving ways I’ve been able to serve at church, and I always look forward to Wednesday nights!” — Kit

“We are Shane and Tutcha Orndorff, the new Mentor Coaches for Aspire Mentoring. We have the privilege of coaching mentors who walk alongside at-risk youth through OneLess Ministry at Grace Church.

Through our own experience in mentoring, and by the grace of God, we’ve witnessed the transformation that happens when someone has a trusted companion to lean on, guide them, and walk through life with them. These relationships create space for deep conversations about life and Jesus, where God softens hearts and opens doors to the Gospel.

Ultimately, it’s not just the mentee who is transformed — you are too.”

As part of One Life Ministry at Grace Church, we partner with Together for Good to equip members of our church community to open their homes and provide support to families in need through hosting.

Dan and Tracey White share about their experience:

“We have been blessed to serve in many capacities with Together for Good, first and foremost as a host family to more than 35 children since 2015. Some stays were long-term, others monthly, and others short-term—each situation unique and each one a blessing to us. We are still in contact with some of the children and families to this day. We support this ministry because it recognizes the importance of family being strengthened by a community of believers, enriching the lives of both mothers and children.”

Nearly 1 in 3 families experience difficulty providing clean, dry diapers for their children.

From May 13–31, OneLess is partnering with New Life Family Services (NLFS) as a drop-off location for the World’s Largest Diaper Drive. Donations will directly support single mothers and foster and host families served through OneLess and NLFS.

We are collecting new, unopened boxes of diapers (preferred sizes 3–6 and pull-ups). Donations may be dropped off at Grace Church in the designated bins near the entrances in Eden Prairie.

You can help send a child to Royal Family Kids Camp.🩵

Royal Family Kids Camp gives kids in foster care (ages 6–12) a week where they’re safe, celebrated, and hear the truth of who Jesus is and how deeply He loves them.

Your donation helps make camp completely free for every child and provides everything needed to create a week full of joy, care, and the love of Christ.

As a church, this is one way we get to show up for these kids in a real, tangible way.

What a night at Foster & Adoptive Family Respite Night + Parents Night Out!🤍

The kids had a blast with games, the bounce house, therapy animals, pizza, and a movie to wrap it all up. Meanwhile, parents enjoyed an Italian-themed dinner and a special night of laughter with guest comedian Dave Berggren.

We loved getting to serve both kids and parents in such a meaningful way. Huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who made the night run so smoothly and filled it with so much fun, care, and support.

We’re already looking forward to being back in the fall!
