Cam Skattebo is not planning to tone it down.

The New York Giants running back is working his way back from the gruesome dislocated ankle that ended his rookie season, but he made it clear this week that the injury will not change the physical style that made him stand out.

“It ain’t gonna change who I am,” Skattebo said Wednesday on “The Insiders.”

“I had an injury, you know, it is what it is. I’ve still got plenty of football left, plenty of life left, I’m not going to let this little ankle thing bother me.”

Then came the line Giants fans will like most.

“I’m going to get back [to] running people over like you see on the videos,” Skattebo said. “It’s going to be normal Cam Skattebo from here on out.”

Skattebo quickly became a fan favorite as a fourth-round rookie in 2025, bringing a bruising, contact-heavy style to the Giants’ backfield before his season was cut short in Week 8.

The Giants may have endured a disappointing 2025 season, but Brian Burns continued to perform at an elite level.

The veteran pass rusher started all 17 games and established himself as the clear leader of New York's defense, earning his third Pro Bowl selection and the first All-Pro honor of his career.

His production included:

💙 16.5 sacks — 1st on team, 2nd in NFL
❤️ 67 total tackles (39 solo)
💙 7 passes defended
❤️ 3 forced fumbles — t-1st on team
💙 1 fumble recovery
❤️ 22 tackles for loss — 1st on team
💙 31 QB hits — 1st on team

Even as the Giants struggled as a team, Burns remained one of the NFL's most disruptive defenders. With John Harbaugh taking over and a new chapter beginning in New York, he'll continue to be the centerpiece of this defense moving forward.

The front office heavily upgraded their defensive profile by utilizing the fifth overall selection on the standout Ohio State linebacker.

New defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson is immediately capitalizing on the rookie's rare athletic attributes by giving him reps all over the formation during spring installations.

Reese helps the defense by executing a highly physical, downhill approach and supreme lateral range to completely suffocate outside run concepts.

Signing his multi-million dollar rookie contract this past May officially locks him in as a structural pillar for the future of the system.

MetLife Stadium will provide an electric backdrop once this dynamic playmaker makes his highly anticipated professional debut this autumn.

The Giants finally have proven leadership guiding the rebuild.

Sports Illustrated named John Harbaugh as New York’s biggest reason for hope entering 2026.

The Super Bowl-winning coach arrives with 12 playoff appearances on his résumé and brings valuable experience to a franchise looking to climb back into contention.

New York also added several former Ravens, including Isaiah Likely, Jordan Stout and Patrick Ricard.

The rebuild is far from complete, but the Giants appear to be moving in the right direction.

The Giants are completely rebuilding their offensive identity up front, and putting this massive Miami blocker out on the edge changes everything for their protection schemes.

Bringing his legendary college track record of allowing zero sacks to East Rutherford gives the new-look coaching staff a dominant force at tackle.

Mauigoa helps the Giants by setting an incredibly wide blocking base and neutralizing explosive pass rushers along the edge path.

Watching a three hundred and twenty-nine pound blocker move with such smooth lateral quickness shows exactly why the front office wanted him anchoring this line.

New York football fans are pumped to watch him pave massive running lanes and keep the pocket completely clean all winter long. 🔵🗽
