Singh Tower may be our favorite new building! The mixed-use high-rise developed by GN Management is comprised of 202 residences plus ground-floor retail and 16,000 sq ft of office space in the heart of Journal Square in Jersey City, New Jersey. Inside, it's slated for luxury amenities like a fitness center, yoga room, game room, bowling alley, golf simulator, podcast studio, and rooftop deck and lounge.

But the outside is what has us excited!

The MVMK Architecture design features cantilevered balconies inside a massive signature V, a playful addition to Jersey City’s skyline that's visible from Manhattan. The best part? Both the alternating balconies and the bold V are illuminated with color-changing RGBW Series 2 RibbonLyte from Acolyte.

For this challenging project, the powerhouse team at Facility Solutions Group asked Acolyte to develop a custom channel that creates a halo effect in long, decorative lines of light. Our solution? A unique bracket-shaped extrusion that features two rows of RibbonLyte aimed at the back of the channel. Now that channel delivers more than 420 feet of unbroken illumination across 21 floors of the 27-story tower. RGBW Series 2 RibbonLyte is also embedded below glass balustrades at the edge of each balcony. Light travels vertically through Singh Tower's slender handrails to manifest breathtaking textured patterns high above the city. Everything was specified through Acolyte’s great partners at SLS, who programmed several creative colorful scenes. And everyone is singing the praises of Jersey City’s newest high-rise!
