We’re excited that Be You Beauty will be a vendor at the Harlem Hafla Black International Belly Dance Show & Workshop on Saturday, June 27th!

As many of you know, belly dance is a beautiful way to connect with and heal the sacral chakra—the energetic center of creativity, sensuality, pleasure, and feminine expression. That’s why I’m especially honored to be part of this incredible event.

8 Feminine Wellness Rules Women Learn Too Late 🌸

1. Don't use saliva as lubricant. It can introduce bacteria & disrupt your pH.

2. Don't rush pe*******on if you're not fully aroused. Dry friction can cause irritation.

3. Avoid lubricants that contain glycerin or nonoxynol-g.

4. Don't wear panty liners all day. They trap moisture and increase irritation risk.

5. Don't wipe back to front. You're moving bacteria where it shouldn't go.

6. If you're prone to yeast infections, cut back on excess sugar.

7. Be careful with antibiotics. They wipe out protective bacteria too, if overused.

8. Don't ignore repeated itching that wasn't there before. Get it checked.

While Menstrual Hygiene Day is May 28th Be You Beauty works all year round to break the taboos and end the stigma surrounding women having their periods.

Many low-income communities do not have access to affordable and hygienic menstrual products and today we advocate for improved access to menstrual products. Today we stress the importance of acquiring knowledge about our bodies, menstrual cycles, and reproductive health.

Menstruation is not only a natural and biological process but also a sacred and powerful process that women possess. When a woman chooses to reclaim the holy nature of her menstruation, she heals not only for herself, but for her ancestors, our collective, and future generations. Happy Menstrual Hygiene day to all the goddesses in our tribe! 🩸
