* Requirements
โข Work experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role in a restaurant
โข Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza doughs
โข Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and brick or stone oven
โข Understanding of food hygiene
โข Good time-management skills
โข Team spirit
โข Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings
โข Diploma from a culinary school is a plus
โข Prepare pizzas out of our menu and based on custom orders
โข Bake a wide variety of pizza doughs, including thin crust, thick crust and cheese-stuffed
โข Make fresh tomato, pesto and white cream sauces
โข Wash and chop vegetables (for example, tomatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms)
โข Cut, slice and grill meats like chicken, ham and beef
โข Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed
โข Use less traditional ingredients to appeal to a larger audience (for example, vegan cheese and gluten-free flour)
โข Cook appetizers, like mozzarella sticks, pizza bites, garlic breads and salads
โข Recommend new recipes to update our menus
โข Maintain a clean cooking station and sterilize equipment
* Duties & Responsibilities
โข Work with the executive chef to produce diversified menus in accordance with the restaurantโs policy and vision
โข Come up with new dishes which appeal to the clients, whenever required
โข Establish the working schedule and organize the work in the kitchen so that everything works like a โwell-oiled machineryโ
โข Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to locationโs standards, as well as to clientsโ requirements
โข Plan the food design in order to create a perfect match between the dishโs aspect and its taste
โข Discover talented chefs and train them in order to reach the high standards of the location
โข Train the auxiliary kitchen staff in order to provide best results in minimum time and using at the maximum the available resources
โข Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours
โข Create tasting menus for clients interested in contracting the food for different events (wedding, banquets, corporate dinners, birthday parties, etc.) from their kitchen
Requirements:
โข Proficient in English or Spanish
โข Experience as a Sous Chef
โข Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
โข Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
โข Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
โข Familiar with industryโs best practices
โข BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus
