So proud of this finished piece! ✨ Taking old pants and turning them into a skirt has been such a rewarding journey. Every stitch is a reminder of my growth and creativity, and seeing it complete makes all the effort worth it. Here’s to celebrating every project, big or small! 💖🌿

I finally cured my headache.

I truly miss capturing people doing what they love. I’m not sure how I can get back to this, but I will. This was such a beautiful project for a multitude of reasons. I remember feeling so much joy and respect for everyone on the rink after hearing their stories.

Roller skating is such a big staple in Black American culture, particularly in the south. My friends and I used to frequent Three Fountains on many Sunday evenings. (I miss those days) I would be in awe at how talented people were on the rink, people young and old were doing the damn thing!

My partner, created a video story about most of the people in these shots. It's definitely work the watch. You can find the video on my Youtube Channel. This was hands down my favorite project in College. 🫶🏿 🛼
