Christmas came early, except we got to play with ALL the toys before even wrapping them!

We had the best time at Holiday of Play by The Toy Insider! It was such a fun day getting a first look at so many of the toys, games, and more that are going to be on kids’ and adults’ wish lists this holiday season. 🎄

From hands-on activities and interactive toys to discovering new favorites, there was SO much to see and do. Watching Liam light 💡 up as he tried everything was adorable!

As someone who creates a lot of toy and family content, I always love getting to see what’s coming next, but getting to experience it all with Liam makes these events even more special.

Fall baking just got a whole lot better! 🍎🍂 We made the General Mills Apple C***r Cake Mix and it was SO good! Warm, cozy, and basically tastes like fall in every bite. 🤎 So many good snacks to try!

Gifted | Walmart runs just got a LOT more fast! 🛒🏁💨

We headed to Walmart to pick up the 6V Dune Racer! 🏎️💨 from Sakar Outdoor!

With working suspension, LED headlights, forward + reverse driving, and that rugged Dune Racer look, Liam was ready to buckle up and hit the safe terrain! 🪖💚

I destroyed my wedding dress. And not for the reason you think. 👰🏻

When Liam was diagnosed with a fatal heart defect, there were moments when the thought of losing him wasn’t just a fear 💔 it was a possibility we had to face.

I remember telling people that my wedding dress would become his baptism outfit, and he would either be baptized or buried in it.

It sounds incredibly heavy now, but at the time, it was the one thing I felt like I could control. ♥️

I couldn’t control his heart. 🫀 
I couldn’t control what would happen in the operating room. 👩🏻‍⚕️ 
I couldn’t control whether I would get to watch him grow up. 👦🏻
But I could take the dress I wore on one of the happiest days of my life and turn it into something that brought me comfort during one of the scariest. 💒

Thankfully, Liam was baptized.

And that little boy who doctors once warned us might not survive is 8 years old today.

That dress wasn’t destroyed.
It became a reminder of just how far he has come.

Sometimes, when you’re living through the unimaginable, you find comfort wherever you can.
For me, it was a piece of my wedding day wrapped around my baby boy. And I’d make that choice all over again. 🤍
