Community members of The Grand Terrace were clearly delighting in the outdoors, surrounded by sunshine, laughter, and enjoyment, while participating in fishing and companionship.

COMMUNITY MEMBER STORY

One morning, a Vista Springs community member who was normally active and engaged did not participate in his usual social programs. While this alone was not cause for alarm, it represented a noticeable change from his normal routine. Because participation and engagement are documented by our Lifestyle Experience Partners, the change was quickly visible within the Vista Springs care ecosystem. Team members communicated internally, a wellness check was completed, and the community member was found to be experiencing unusual fatigue and discomfort.

The Health & Wellness team was immediately notified and an assessment was completed. Based on their findings, the community member's physician was contacted, and the Vista Springs Rapid Response Team coordinated the next steps to ensure timely medical evaluation. The community member was transported to the hospital, where physicians determined he was experiencing a cardiac-related event that required prompt treatment. Because the change was recognized early, care was coordinated quickly, family members were notified, and the appropriate medical intervention was provided before the condition became more serious.

Through the Family Engagement App, loved ones received timely updates and were able to communicate directly with the Vista Springs team. Family members met him at the hospital, confident that the right steps had already been taken and that communication was occurring every step of the way. Following treatment and stabilization, the community member returned home to Vista Springs, where his care and service plan were updated and additional wellness supports were put into place.

His daughter later shared:
"What impressed me most was how quickly everyone came together. Before we even arrived at the hospital, Vista Springs had already assessed the situation, communicated with us, coordinated care, and made sure my father received the attention he needed. We never felt alone."

The Grand Terrace community members savored every moment of the lovely Saturday afternoon which featured sunshine a gentle breeze and a variety of enjoyable activities including blowing and catching bubbles donning silly sunglasses listening and singing songs and socializing.

The Grand Terrace and Lakeside Gardens community members are delighted to wish you a Happy Friday. The large smiley faces reflect their delight in the root beer floats; however, their true joy comes from sharing stories, laughter, fun facts, and trivia with one another.

Wednesday has commenced, and some of our winning contributors found themselves in separate buildings, where they spotted a number of them wearing pink shirts. They joined forces with a fewl community members to capture a fun moment with their cheerful smiles. Interestingly, the color pink symbolizes love, nurturing, and compassion.

This afternoon, Imperial Parks community members consistently appreciate their Tuesday afternoon social gatherings, valuing the camaraderie, snacks, and drinks, as well as the trivia and fun facts that foster laughter and enjoyment.

Today, a group of community members from Imperial Park had the pleasure of dining at BUDDIES GRILL, where they encountered a dilemma due to the extensive selection of delectable dishes, making it challenging to decide on a particular choice; nevertheless, they thoroughly enjoyed every bite 😋
