We are feeling very thankful for a great year. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!

We can't believe it, but Jim's retirement day has arrived! For something we have been planning for years it sure snuck up on us! We have had a fun few weeks of final meetings, celebrating with other folks in our office and even playing golf at Jim's favorite course (Arcadia Bluffs).

I Had to include a throwback photo as evidence that Nate and I have been working with Jim for over 20 years now! It's hard to believe and yet we both feel so grateful for it. Jim brought us in and taught us that this business is about relationships and that is really the core of what we do every day. Relationships with many of you span from a few years to many decades! Our team does not take your trust lightly and it has meant the world to Jim and us. We are going to try to keep the laughter quotient as high as it has been with Jim but that is going to be hard. The man has a great smile and a laugh that can be heard well past the office walls!

Ele's race held their annual 5K race over the weekend to support their mission of "serving grieving children, teens, young adults and their families from throughout Mid-Michigan." We love partnering with them each year as a sponsor for such a great event!

Congratulations are in order for Nate and Lisa's daughter Gracelyn Rose on her graduation (with honors) from Lansing Christian! She has decided to stay close to home and pursue a Physical Therapy Assistant degree at Baker College. We are incredibly proud of you Gracelyn!!

Just a friendly reminder that stock market pullbacks and even market corrections are fairly normal... Just not necessarily fun. Hang in there!

We have been saddened to hear of the devastation caused by flooding in Asheville, NC in the past month. Nate and Lisa were able to see the beauty of Asheville this summer when they visited the historic Biltmore estate. Thinking of all those who were affected.

Jeremy's kids visited the orchard this fall as is required by Michigander's this time of year. Time moves fast sometimes. These kids keep growing and the seasons keep changing.

We were honored to be a sponsor at the Ele's Place - Capital Region 5K run again this year. Their mission to serve grieving children, teens, young adults and their families has offered support to so many families in Mid Michigan and beyond over the years. Thanks for what you do Ele's Place!

Hope everybody had a great 4th! Jeremy and his family took a trip back in time on Saturday and visited Greenfield Village. Pretty amazing to have a place like this in Michigan!

Nate had another successful season coaching the Varsity Girls Chap Chariots basketball team. They were able to finish the season as the D2 National Champions at the Homeschool National Tournament in Springfield, MO. Nate’s youngest daughter Annie is a sophomore and was the starting point guard for the team this past season. Congrats!

If you have ever visited our office you know that Kim is the first person to greet you when you step through the front door. Thanks for all you do Kim!
