Name: Evan Charles
Year & Major: Senior, Electrical Engineering
Role:
My position is social media chair. I provide updates for students and members using a variety of social media platforms. Also, I communicate and set up presentations with companies to help students gain networking experience and employment opportunities.
Why Did You Choose to Join IEEE?
I chose to join IEEE because it allows me to network with companies from many different industries. It also allows me to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of areas while making connections with other students. We live in a society driven by innovation and IEEE allows me to keep updated on the growing technologies.

My position for IEEE is the project manager which I take on the responsibility of assigning target dates to when projects should be completed, planning of what projects are going to be executed, and help in the build process for all projects.

I chose to join IEEE because it is a very important organization for electrical engineers by giving you access to certain tools and increases your knowledge of professionalism in the work field.

My role on IEEE is treasurer. I will be managing the club's money, both incoming and outgoing. I will also be keeping records for legal compliance.
Why Did You Choose to Join IEEE?
I joined IEEE on a referral from a friend as well as having hopes to get more involved in the Engineering community at Michigan State University. I also knew that joining as well as actively participating in IEEE would allow me to get more hands-on experience as an Electrical Engineer.

As chair of IEEE I am responsible for the success of the club and its members. To ensure this success, I facilitate interactions between students and employers, provide projects for students to gain hands on experience, and encourage students to take advantage of IEEE resources to further their career and technical knowledge.
Why Did You Choose to Join IEEE?
It is because of the resources IEEE offers, such as technical papers, industry standards, specialized sub-committees, and networking opportunities that I chose to be a part of IEEE.
