Prayers go out Charlie Kirk’s friends and family. You were an inspiration to all and you will be missed Charlie.
One thing I can’t seem to understand is why people are criticizing President Donald Trump to deploy the national guard in major cities with a lot of crime. It seems to work and also I just came back from Monterrey, Mexico several days ago. A little over a decade ago, you would have heard a lot of crimes occurring there but now there is high military presence patrolling the city and crime rates have dropped. This method is proven to work and the safety of citizens should most certainly be the president’s top priority and Trump has done a fine job on this.

One thing I can't quite grasp is why are these protesters in Los Angeles and other areas of the United States waiving around Mexican flags during these protests because not even half of the illegal immigrants are from Mexico? They are from other countries in Latin America and other parts of the world. Also, it seems that the Trump administration are more focused on deporting the illegal immigrants who are involved criminal activities and some will argue that since these immigrants were on American soil, they should be put in American prisons and not be deported.
Here's the deal. If I went to any other country in the world without a passport or other necessary documentation three things could happen to me. I could either be detained, deported, or face possible imprisonment. My question is why should these rules not apply to other countries if their citizens come into the US without proper documentation?
Having secure borders should be the duty of a leader in any country and shouldn't be criticized for trying to fulfill that duty. What people do not realize is criminals coming into our country illegally makes it harder for everyone else who want to come to the US for the right reasons such as better employment and/or education opportunities. It's not just the United States either and it applies to Canada as well. Before the Biden Administration, Mexican citizens were able to go to Canada needing only a valid passport. During the Biden administration many illegal immigrants were also crossing the northern border of the United States as well. Now Mexican citizens have to obtain a travel visa, which is hard to get approved for, in addition to a valid passport. In the past, it also used to be easier for Mexican citizens to travel to Canada to attend university or go to a school to learn English, but now it has been harder for them to do so in recent years.
When you think about this, securing our borders should be a bipartisan issue. Most of you know that I have a significant other who resides in Mexico. Down the road, let's just say that we happened to get married in the United States. Chances are that ZERO of her family members will get to attend the wedding in person because of what has happened at the border, even though her family members would return to Mexico after the wedding.
The point I am trying to make about all of this is that secure borders benefit all parties involved. If we continue to allow these illegal crossings to happen, it is just going to make it harder for the ones who want to come to our country the right way. Burning Trump pinatas and American flags during protests is not going to make this situation better. If anything, it will make the situation worse. I certainly cannot speak for everyone, but I am sure that Mexican citizens would not want protestors carrying their countries flag around and vandalizing cities. This could give negative connotation to the country of Mexico and should not be acceptable. Mexico has a wonderful culture and it is very religious and family oriented. Many are very hard-working and benefit our country and these protests with Mexican flags could persuade others into believing that Mexico only produces undocumented criminals.
A similar thing happened in 2015 after a mass church shooting by Dylann Roof in Charleston. There were photos on his social media page posing with the confederate flag. Because of what Dylann Roof and other groups such as the Ku Klux Klan had done, this makes many believe that the confederate flag resembles racism and hatred, rather than southern pride and heritage. As a result, the confederate flag was removed from the state capitol grounds in 2015. Recently, I have heard many people say that they believe that someone is racist if they have confederate flag in their yard. Which could be true, but it could also mean that this person had an ancestor who fought in the civil war and wanted to honor this person by proudly raising the confederate flag in their yard.
Anyway, I know that this was a long post but I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and I will keep you posted our next episode!
