Here at EFD we require our firefighters to maintain an EMT, Advanced EMT or Paramedic license. At the EMT level, our firefighters are able to perform more advanced skills through our optional modules. They require anywhere from 36-72 hours every two years to maintain their license to provide you with exceptional care.
TRAINING

Recruit Academy 26-1 Week 6
Week 6 our recruits trained on emergency bail-outs—one of the most critical last-resort skills in the fire service. When conditions rapidly deteriorate, a bail-out allows firefighters to quickly and safely exit from an upper floor to save their life. It’s not about convenience—it’s about survival.
