One of the most rewarding parts of a custom home project is seeing months of planning become reality.

What started as conversations, floor plans, design meetings, and technology decisions is now taking shape throughout this home. From automated shades and keypad locations to programming and integration, every detail was thoughtfully considered long before installation day.

This is the part most people never see—the coordination, problem-solving, and teamwork required behind the scenes.

And yes, the pile of empty Lutron boxes at the end is proof that a lot of hard work happened.

One of my favorite parts of the design process is helping clients find the perfect balance between beauty and function.

For this home, preserving the view was important, but so was creating a softer, more comfortable quality of light throughout the space.

We selected Lutron’s Natural Selection fabric for all of the front-facing windows to create a clean, uniform appearance from the exterior while still achieving the performance the homeowner needed inside.

Paired with black anodized Palladiom shades, the result feels intentional, architectural, and timeless.

The best shade selections don’t force you to choose between function and beauty—they deliver both.

Sometimes the simplest details make a space feel extraordinary.

This beautifully tailored Lutron Roman shade in linen fabric brings soft texture, automated shade control, and effortless light filtering into this designer bathroom nook. With one touch on the engraved Palladiom keypad, privacy and daylight move in perfect harmony—without adding clutter to the walls.

This project was a special collaboration between and — combining intentional landscape design with professionally installed FX Luminaire lighting to create an outdoor experience that feels just as beautiful at night as it does during the day.

Thoughtfully designed and illuminated with purpose, this space comes alive after sunset with warmth, atmosphere, and elegance — creating an environment that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.

To elevate the experience even further, this project also features a high-performance outdoor audio system by Ambisonic — adding another layer of ambiance to an already immersive space. 🎶
