New sprint car bodies for John Whitlatch. Forgot to snap pictures before they went out... 🤣

Painting has resumed here at TLC Customs... as of last month. Im currently working through the backlog from before January. I didnt get a picture of the sprint car bodies that got done last month, but here are some shots of Michael McMorran's "Winston Eagle" inspired short course truck. Mike likes to run lights on his cars ... in an attempt to make the logos pop, I backed the scheme in black and the logos are all backed in only white. Side pod logos dont light up.... but the R³ logo does! This was a cool concept that we might revisit at a future time.

Once those are complete, ill be caught up on bodies received before the holiday fiasco. Shortly after, Ill be painting my first helmet for J.J. Hickle. This is something incredibly special to me for a multitude of reasons. For one, hes a good friend that ive known since childhood. But more importantly.... I had a binder in middle school where I drew nothing but helmet paint schemes and concept cars. This helmet will be the culmination of a lifetime of day dreaming. I only hope that I can provide him something we can both be proud of.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to come on here at thank each and every one of you who has utilized my painting services. 1 year ago, I couldnt have imagined what this was going to turn into. As a child, I daydreamed of having pro level racers paint and actual racing rc cars.... this adventure has given me those freedoms.

Ive done 70+ bodies this year and have plenty more lined up. That being said, I dont do this full time and work another job. We had to spend roughly $5k last week for home repairs. Some due to storm damage, but mostly just being forced to replace old, broken equipment. Im currently in the middle of an 84 hour work week to recoup those costs. Normally, I worl about 40 hours a week in the booth, but that wont make me $5k. Thus, I've had to shelf painting for this and next week.

Team Roundrat driver Ronnie Walker picked up a new set of bodies last week! I forgot to post pictures of his truck. Ronnie shipped me his bodies ti get done for him. I painted one in his standard race livery and the other as a "practice" body with similar colors and a much simpler scheme.
