Last week I had workshop at Clear Creek Farm Duvall / Community Yarn Shop teaching my favorite dye workshop to a great group of students. We dyed so much yarn and fiber! It was a hoot!

I’m happy to share that I have a project in the Fall 2026 issue of Little Looms Magazine () ! I designed a set of napkins based off of musical notes. Read the article and work through a project with some of my favorite musical pieces.

The big reveal! It was a tough decision, but I decided to go with the Yakkity Yak DK! In the samples it was the blue one. I also had a tough time deciding on the color. I had the Peacock already in the shop, but I had just dyed this beautiful red. It was hanging up and kept calling to me, so that's what I decided to go with. It is fantastically soft of squishy. I just love it and I know I'm going to love the finished sweater and wear it all the time.
The pattern is Watermark by Marie Greene of and the Knit-a-long is happening all through the month of July. It's not too late to join!

I couldn’t decide which yarn I wanted to use for the Watermark KAL with , so I tried all that we have available at Community Yarn.
Remix Light is always a good choice. It’s blend of fibers make it airy and comfortable all summer long. It would be great for the short sleeve version. It could also be made long sleeve and work well as a cover up for chilly evenings or well into fall.
Berroco Ultra Wool DK is a good soft wool. it is machine washable, though with all handknits I recommend handwashing to keep them at their best. I also really love how round the yarn is and how well it shows off the detail of the stitch pattern. It really pops! The only thing to keep in mind with superwash is that it can grow after washing, so make sure to wash your swatch!
LavenderSheep Yakkity Yak DK is definitely the luxury choice. The yarn is merino/yak/silk. It feels gloriously soft against the skin and is warm enough to make a good spring/fall sweater as well.
Help me decide! Which would you choose?

Watermark by Marie Greene ( )
Don’t worry, you don’t have to knit a sweater in 4 days! The knit-a-long typically takes place through the month of July. Back when the first knit-a-long happened 10 years ago, Marie sat down and knit a sweater in 4 days. That started the first knit-a-long, which turned into an annual tradition. After 10 fun filled years, this is the last 4 day knit-a-long and we are so happy we can be a part of this tradition before it is gone.
Here is what Marie has to say about the pattern:
This year’s pattern will feature top-down, raglan construction with all-over lace and two different silhouette options: a classic cardigan, or a pullover. From there, knitters can personalize their project with three sleeve length options (short, half, long), and the option to work the ribbed edges in a contrasting color. The result will be a range of unique sweaters, no two alike. Think of it as leaving your own Watermark on your project.
Special Discount! Marie is offering the pattern with a $2 discount, if you purchase it before June 27th. Cardigan Pattern is here! Pullover Pattern is here!
