Franny's Project Mustangs

Finally got Reece moved! She wasn't super happy about her last situation being in a stall all the time and she picked up a bad habit of itching on EVERYTHING. She actually got to the point of having to call a vet because she was itching enough to give herself sores. The vet said that she will be fine ,thank goodness, and it doesn't look like it's a skin condition or anything. Just major boredom mixed with a horse like likes her scratches. In her new home she has all the outdoor time she wants and a large coved barn she can go in whenever she likes. She should be getting introduced to the other horses sometime next week so she will be happily in a herd again as well! This picture is actually after its healed quite a bit. It WAS much worse before

Reece has been upgraded!! She was sharing a panel turn out with 3 other horses because we didn't know if she could safely be in hot wire. Now, after being carefully watched this morning and getting one good shock, she gets her own hot wire turnout!! Now instead of only getting 4 hours of turn out time a day before being rotated she gets all day long:)

My pony is here!! She came last Friday before my wedding and she is doing great! The lady that owns the barn I am keeping her at calls her a "model citizen". I went out and worked with her today and, although she is not anywhere near how polished she used to be, she still remembers the basics and once I remind her what to do she picked back up on it pretty quick.

My pony is coming to Oregon!!! Ever since I moved, my horses have still been in Washington and that is why I almost never get to post pictures and updates anymore. But on the 26th of this month, my girl Reece is going to be delivered here to the barn I am working at and we will be able to continue with her training journey! I miss her so much and I can't wait to get her going again and hopefully riding and getting the basics of driving over the next few months. Can't wait to see my girl!!

Gotta love getting horses teeth floated. Charming was such a good boy for the vet today! And it was his first time. Good job Charm

Finally made it back up to Washington to see my babies! I've missed them so much

I miss my babies so much!!!!! My sister just sent me a picture of Charming and Reece. We all thought charming would be a smaller more narrow horse but he has really sprouted up over the last year!! He is getting to be nearly as tall as our giant Reece!
