We’ve been working on some masks for a couple months, and I finished mine tonight, though I might go back and do some more detail work on the cyclops. The totem-y looking guy was a cutting board, and the cyclops was made from a plastic Halloween skull and a broken mantle clock. Thanks for another great class!

I don’t need another project… but I have one. Disassembly of this ought to be educational.

A long, long time ago I used to have a decent handle on working with websites. I had HTML skills, some graphic skills. But time, relationships, work and just general mayhem got in the way and well, its use it or lose it. But I’m proud to say that I have resurrected our very, very moribund domain and made it look ok. I should have taken some before shots because it. Was. TRASH.
It took me about a week and half of buckling down to learn a new tool, but www.cipher-art.com is back up. Is it perfect? HA. Can it grow from here? Absolutely. For now, I’m not adding ecommerce ability - but eventually we’ll add more functionality and whatnot. I’m just proud to have resurrected it from the 4.6th circle of hell. Thanks as always to for her tolerance of my obsessing over this and giving helpful feedback.

I’ve been quiet because I’ve got two projects going, and the important one is in the home stretch; I cannot wait to announce it. These here piano keys reference the other one, and I’ll talk about that one soon, too.

This cyclopian mask is coming along. Definitely a mish-mash of objects: a broken clock, a tin can, part of a trophy, part of a plastic skull. Priming an painting isn’t far off.
Some new freaky flora dropped today! We’ll have these with us at our first market of the year, 4/11 Sip & Shop. Come by 12-6p at Raleigh Brewing Co and see us.
