Our amphibian team recently had the opportunity to survey for the long-tailed salamander (Eurycea longicauda), a member of the lungless salamander family. We were fortunate to get some great photos of this infrequently encountered species in its natural habitat. The tail of the long-tailed salamander accounts for about 60% of its body length! 📷: David Cooper

Our Durham staff celebrated Earth Day belated by volunteering with this afternoon. We helped remove invasive plants from Wrightwood Park 🌍 🌳
