Bethesda Ruritan Club proudly recognizes our servicemen and women who have fought for our country. Whether you have served or are currently serving, we salute you! Thank you for your sacrifice! America, land of the free, because of the brave!

The American Flag is a living symbol of our great nation. Its care is essential to honoring our country’s past, present, and future.

On this day 246 years ago, Congress created our national flag by commemorating Betsy Ross' creation of the Stars & Stripes. There have been a total of 27 variations in flag design over the years, as colonies grew into states making the 50 states that are represented on the flag today by the white stars. Each star represents justice, perseverance and vigilance. As for the colors, the red stripes are for valor and the white stripes are for purity and innocence.

Bethesda Ruritan Club proudly stands for our flag and our great Nation!

Our next monthly meeting will be held Thursday May 30th at 7 p.m. We look forward to being together for a time of fellowship and discuss ways we can impact our community.

Through these trying times, we wish everyone safety and good health. Please be reminded to keep a 6 foot distance and wear face coverings to help ease the spread of Covid-19. We look forward to meeting in person again in the near future, both through club meetings and fundraisers. Stay safe!

Please join some members of our club and community on Friday, August 2nd at 7 pm at North Durham Women’s Health at 400 Crutchfield St Durham.

This gathering will be a time of quiet reflection, repentance and praise.

Will you join us to:

*light a candle in remembrance of innocent life that was intentionally killed

*pray for women who have been deceived to find solace in the One who is just to forgive our sins

*pray for workers in the abortion industry to have their hearts softened, their eyes opened and be willing to shed light on the Truth

*pray for lawmakers to see their duty

*pray for forgiveness for the inaction of the Christian community

*praise our Lord Jesus for His grace and mercy
