As a high-performing athlete and business owner, I’m forever being asked about what I eat to maintain my energy level.
Well, here you go! 🤩
This is one of my absolute favorite things to eat for breakfast. I also pair these overnight oats with turkey bacon or chicken sausages for protein.
PS: Definitely don’t leave out the orange zest! It makes this recipe even more delicious!
I will never forget the night I took my first fencing lesson at FIU with the Miami Fencing Club.
I was 13 and still working through the heavy emotions of my parents divorce a few years earlier and adjusting to a new blended family (which is awesome BTW).
I was also in Jr High (aka Middle School) and was made fun of EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I felt lonely, unwanted and invisible.
The only time I felt seen was when I allowed myself to be myself —- but then I’d get made fun of for it.
Except at fencing.
Finally, a place where I felt I fit in!!
My Grandpa fenced and my Dad fenced in high school. He took that first lesson with me. It was magical. I felt like I found something I was meant to do.
Super grateful to have had the opportunity to work with local videographer, to create this short about fencing and share a small portion of my story.
I hope you enjoy it too!
Ya’ll it’s SO MUCH FUN to introduce my friends and fellow board members to !
Our Advocacy Chair, Marina Ivanov, joined me on Sunday for a fencing lesson and oh my goodness did we have a blast.
I had no idea this powerhouse business owner was going to be so fierce. And on her first day, too!
I swear that fencing is the best stress relief — especially for executive women who are running big businesses such as Marina’s (Apex Transit Solutions)
Thank you Coach Brian at for helping Marina feel welcomed. Everyone was impressed and we are psyched she finally got to fulfill her desire to give fencing a try AND that she wants to get her girls in fencing camp this summer!
Alrighty….. who’s next? 🤺🙌🏻
