LifeFlow® is a hand-operated rapid infuser for critically ill patients who require urgent volume resuscitation.
Easy and intuitive to use, LifeFlow PLUS allows clinicians to deliver blood or fluid quickly and efficiently, improving patient care. LifeFlow was born out of the barriers that clinicians often face delivering fluids and blood quickly and simply to critically ill patients. Timely volume resuscitation is key to the effective treatment of shock, including septic shock and hemorrhagic shock, but is often not achieved due to the slow and inefficient traditional infusion techniques.

A patient arrived at a critical access hospital in profound hemorrhagic shock following a gunshot wound to the chest, with a BP of 57/35.
Using LifeFlow rapid infuser and the QinFlow Warrior warmer, the team rapidly delivered 4 units PRBCs and 2 units FFP, improving BP to 100/65 before transfer to a tertiary care center, where the patient survived.
The team called it “the fastest we’ve ever gotten that much blood in.”

A 2-year-old in septic shock received a 240 mL fluid bolus based on Handtevy pediatric dosing through a 22-gauge IV using LifeFlow in approximately 1 minute. Following resuscitation, the patient became more alert, color improved, and blood pressure increased from 88/57 to 112/78 mmHg.

When two critically ill patients needed rapid resuscitation, LifeFlow helped deliver.
In the first case, a patient with a hemoglobin of 2.9 received 2 units of blood using LifeFlow, and blood pressure, heart rate, and color improved within about 15 minutes.
Later that same morning, LifeFlow was used to rapidly infuse 1 liter of normal saline through a humeral IO during cardiac arrest—in about 3 minutes.
