Duke Smart Home is currently having our recruitment process for 2021 residents from now until the end of February. We are a unique research and educational program open to rising sophomores, rising juniors, and rising seniors in both Trinity and Pratt. The house is a LEED Certified building that doubles as a student dormitory and living laboratory. Our residential program allows students to live in the house, immersing themselves in energy efficient and sustainable living. Past, present, and future Smart Home residents recently toured the new engineering building construction site. We learned a lot about civil engineering and LEED certification, and are excited to see the building when it’s complete!
