Quick question: what color do you picture when someone says sapphire? 💙
Because these may change your answer.
Our designer May is showing off these incredibly unique sapphires we snagged at the Tucson Gem Show. They are mossy green and reddish brown, cut thin to reveal hundreds of natural inclusions inside. Goldsmith Phil designed and handcrafted a setting that keeps them bold and wearable without adding weight. Big statement. Barely there on the ear.
Sapphires come in almost every color. These are proof.
Nothing quite like a druzy sparkle. ✨
Our designer Mary is so excited to share these black druzy earrings set in asymmetrical 18K yellow gold. The micro crystals of the druzy sparkle with every subtle movement and the textured wavy sheet gold accentuates them perfectly.
Handcrafted in house by our goldsmith Phil, these are perfect for everyday wear or for a night on the town.

When Phil spots a gemstone he loves, it becomes a piece. Every time. 🌙
These pale, ghostly moonstones stopped him cold at the Tucson Gem Show. The rose cut makes them shimmer like light on still water, and he knew exactly what he wanted to do.
Back in the studio, he hand-forged recycled 14K white gold wires and bezel-set the stones asymmetrically. Not because it was easier. Because it made them more interesting.
Phil has been chasing moonstones for years. These might be his favorite yet.

Christian has the magic touch. 🪄
Many custom rings at Jewelsmith start as a wax model, one you can actually try on before a single drop of metal is poured. But getting from wax to gold takes serious skill.
Our goldsmith Christian has to strategically place wax sprues, tiny channels that guide molten metal into every curve and corner of the mold. Miss a spot and the casting fails.
He uses the Pepetools TouchAmatic for the precision to get it right every time. Watch him explain the process. 👆

What can you do with family diamonds? This client turned them into a bridal set!
She came to us twice. First with grandma's stones for a three-stone yellow gold engagement ring with gorgeous details. Then with more family gems for the wedding band. Tiffany and Patrick designed a diamond eternity band with a custom curve so the two pieces nest together perfectly.
This is one of our favorite things to make, jewelry that carries a history and gets worn every single day.

In our fine, vintage era 💎
We had the honor of designing a stunning brooch for a client's birthday. Inspired by vintage design, we selected old euro cuts and old mine cuts, diamonds with history and soul, set for a person who wears both effortlessly. Created for someone who only gets better with time. And yes! Brooches are back, for gentlemen and women alike, because some things are simply too good to ever really go away. This is what timeless looks like.

Her grandmother's diamond. A new beginning. 💛
When Emma and Laura came to us, they brought something irreplaceable with them: a round diamond from Laura's grandmother. Together with our designer and gemologist Tracy, they imagined a way to carry that love forward: nestled in 18k yellow gold, flanked by two new baguettes, and made entirely their own.
When they came to pick it up, they couldn't have been more thrilled. We can't wait to see the engagement photos. 🤩

Nature drew the blueprint. Phil followed nature's lead. 📐
Buried inside this lavender quartz: a network of dark color banding, crossing at almost perfect 90° angles. Geometric. Precise. Like something intentional, and yet entirely formed by the earth.
When Phil spotted them at the Tucson Gem Show, he knew immediately they belonged together. So he let the stones lead, rose-cut, set as dangles, so every movement catches the light and reveals those cool angles all over again.
There's nothing quite like them in our collection.

A beautiful tribute with beautiful diamonds. ✨
One of our clients recently came in with her mother's original engagement ring and its ring jacket. May, Molly and Denis all worked with the client to create a gorgeous new ring.
The final creation incorporated all of her family diamonds in a new white gold setting all using the client's gold. A very sweet moment — the day she came to pick up her new ring was her parents' 70th wedding anniversary. Now whenever she looks down, she has something to remember them by.
