💚🐦 Meet the 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭 — Palawan's remarkable 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲-𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘁-𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘁 (𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙪𝙨 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙚).

Found only in Palawan, the Kilit is more than just a beautiful bird. Once regarded by many farmers as an agricultural pest, it is now becoming a symbol of biodiversity conservation and community stewardship. With its population estimated at around 10,000 individuals and threatened by habitat loss and poaching, the Kilit's survival depends on how we choose to value and protect the natural world around us.

The story of the Kilit reminds us that conservation begins with understanding. By protecting forests, restoring habitats, and educating communities, we help ensure that future generations will continue to hear the vibrant calls of this unique Palawan treasure. 💚

🌍💚 Today, we celebrate 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲!

This June 5, we are reminded that caring for the environment is a shared responsibility. As communities around the world unite to address climate change, we are called not only to protect nature but to actively restore and regenerate it for future generations.

At Regalo ng Kilit Foundation, we believe that healthy ecosystems, thriving biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, and empowered communities are interconnected. Through initiatives such as the 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 (𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗘), we continue to promote nature-based solutions that nurture both people and the environment.

Our 2026 Coron Mission Team had the pleasure to go on the BERAE tour, a concept coined by our dear Manny Reyes.

We are grateful for partnerships & collaborations.❤️

If you have been following our page for awhile, we had partners who helped send books to different schools in the Philippines. And one of the schools is in Coron. One of the Seniors from the BCA Senior Class 2026 was able to visit CORLC this week and she saw the library of books she helped pack along with her classmates.❤️📚📖

Tuesday, Julia and Jaxon had the opportunity to visit one of the schools that received donated books — Christ Our Refuge Learning Center in Coron. We are so grateful to be able to support students and encourage learning through these donations!

Please join us in praying for additional shelves to help organize and store the rest of the donated books.

We’re also excited to partner with CORLC’s home church for upcoming outreach opportunities this week. Tomorrow, we will participate in a medical, dental, and optical mission in a neighboring town. Then on the following day, we’ll host a youth sports clinic for elementary-aged children, where Julia and Jaxon will help teach cheer and basketball. 🏀📣

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project through prayers, donations, and encouragement. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve others and share Christ’s love in practical ways!

The 2026 Coron Missions Team had the chance to visit the site of the future Malbato JYF Youth Center. We pray it will be a beacon of hope to the Malbato youth.🙏🏼
