Nasher brunch with some of our cello section!!

WEDNESDAY - Come out to Baldwin Auditorium at 7:30pm for an evening of harmonious music and auditory delights as Duke Symphony Orchestra performs our winter concert alongside guest performer Darrett Adkins. From centuries-old pieces written by women to a heart-wrenching cello concerto, you certainly won’t want to miss this one! As always, a free reception follows on the patio of Biddle Music Building.

SATURDAY: three of Duke’s premiere student musical ensembles - Duke Symphony Orchestra, Duke Wind Symphony, and Duke Chorale - take to the stage to perform selections of music for our annual family weekend concert! Join us in Baldwin Auditorium at 6:00 to enjoy a broad selection of musical repertoire, with plenty of time to get to the football game afterwards!

THIS WEDNESDAY - Duke Symphony Orchestra returns to the stage in Baldwin Auditorium for our fall premiere concert! Featuring the works of Mozart, Bach, and Schumann; solos by not one but TWO members of Duke’s renowned Ciompi Quartet, and free food at the reception afterwards, this concert is one to be sure not to miss!

DSO members had a great time getting to know their fellow musicians, doing group bonding activities, and relaxing on the beach at our retreat in Myrtle Beach this weekend! We’ve got a great group here and we’re excited for the year to come 😎😎

Last night we welcomed the new DSO freshmen with our first kickback shindig of the year! So great to spend time with our fabulous young musicians 😈😈

SUNDAY: Join us on the East Campus Quad for Duke Symphony Orchestra’s very first concert of the year! DSO’s fantastic musicians, both old and new, have been working incredibly hard to prepare selections of music ranging from classical favorites to Disney melodies to Broadway showtimes, and we’re incredibly excited to ring in the new school year with a concert for the ages. Bring your friends and a picnic blanket and buckle on up - because DSO has some fantastic music prepared for you!
