Th pantry and ✨NEW FRIDGE✨ at Braggtown are up and running! Thanks y'all!

Feeling ~nostalgic~ looking back at the footage of the community fridge build outside of Omie’s Coffee Shop. The first picture is during our first meeting with Addison, visualizing where a community fridge could go. Then, photos of each stage of the construction, including photos from every work day we had where DCF volunteers and community members came by to help with the build, bring us food, ask us what we’re up to, etc. The last few pictures are from the opening party we hosted. The process took many months, but it was special and we learned a lot. While the fridge didn’t last as long as we hoped it would outside of Omie’s, and eventually had to be moved to its new home outside of Braggtown Baptist Church, it was worth the sweat and tears that we shared behind the scenes.

It’s been a busy week of deep cleaning and getting the structure ready for a ✨new✨ fridge. We’ll keep y’all updated on the reopening soon!!!

Hey y’all, we’re working hard to replace the fridge @ braggtown baptist church and we hope to have the new fridge installed in the next week or so. The pantry is still included in the temporary closure. Will update once the space is back open. Thanks for your patience as always.

The fridge and pantry at Braggtown are closed for repair and deep cleaning. We will post when the fridge reopens, but please redirect all donations to the fridges at Scrap Exchange and St. Joe's until further notice. Thank you for your patience as we make sure the fridge and pantry are safe for everyone!

The community fridge/freezer outside the Braggtown Baptist Church is out of order as of this morning Thursday 5/7. We are working to get the fridge up and running and will keep y’all updated!!!
