Today Nosey Boy got some training in! He's doing great, and got sent home with some homework. He also got new gear that will help his owner work towards their training goals!

Out today visiting our veterans in rural communities where isolation can feel heavy, we're determined to close the gap. Our canines provided companionship to those who are lonely. Sarge will be an amazing companion who offers much more than affection in the future.

🌟 Please Help Me Welcome Ava Reno to Project Kevlar Foundation! 🐾

It is my pleasure to introduce Ava Reno, who will be serving as Social Media Director for Project Kevlar Foundation.

As the youngest member of our leadership team, Ava brings a fresh perspective, boundless enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for connecting with others. She will play a vital role in helping us share our mission, engage with our community, and ensure veterans know that Project Kevlar Foundation is here to support them. While you'll still see plenty of me, Ava is stepping in to help expand our outreach and keep our community informed every step of the way.

Ava is a 2026 graduate of Kingston High School and will begin attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University this fall, where she plans to major in Business. Even before graduation, she demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and service as a District Officer for Oklahoma FCCLA, where she helped organize community service projects, fundraising initiatives, and leadership development opportunities for students across her district.
Through her work in media and student leadership, Ava developed a talent for bringing people together, creating meaningful engagement, and building connections within her community. Those experiences sparked a passion for service that she now brings to Project Kevlar Foundation.
Growing up in a family of veterans, Ava has witnessed firsthand the sacrifices made by those who serve our nation. Those experiences have fueled her desire to give back and ensure veterans know they are valued, supported, and never alone.
As Social Media Director, Ava will help tell the stories of our veterans, celebrate their successes, share educational resources, and connect our mission with the communities we serve. Her creativity, compassion, and servant's heart make her an incredible addition to our leadership team.

Ava, thank you for choosing to use your talents to serve those who have served us. We are excited to watch you grow as a leader and honored to have you as part of the Project Kevlar Foundation family.

Jo Ro Solis
My girl!

Jo is the mama of our pack. She gently teaches the new dogs their manners, helps them understand the rules of the home, and has an incredible way of making every newcomer feel safe and welcome. She truly is the heart of our family.

What many people don't know is that Jo is a rescue. I adopted her after seeing her posted on Facebook. Before that, she had been found wandering the streets all alone, searching for someone to love her. I like to believe she was looking for me all along. While she is 💯 GSD and health cleared she does not hold an AKC title, and we're just fine with that.

Now, she's the one helping other dogs find confidence, stability, and a fresh start. Every lesson she teaches is proof that rescue dogs don't just deserve second chances—they often become the ones who help others heal.

Jo's story is a beautiful reminder of something we believe with all our hearts:

Every dog matters. Every person matters. ❤️

Sarge spent Saturday at Lake Texoma with a new board member you'll be meeting soon! He offered feedback on Sarge's temperament away from me, his regular handler, and what type of veteran we should pair him with.
