Dear Wesley and Melissa,

Your situation blows my mind. Not only raising two amazing kids but you just adopted your niece and nephew in order to give everyone a better life. You guys do it all while Melissa has VHL, a rare form of genetic cancer that causes tumors to form over and over. Melissa has it and your daughter Chloe inherited it. You guys are an inspiration to me. I'm so honored to help out with this fundraiser for VHLA by doing stand-up comedy. Not to mention that I'll be opening for Josh Blue Comedy. Who won Last Comic Standing on NBC and is one of the biggest working comics in Denver. I am so flattered to know guys. When I got the call that I will be opening for Josh it was some of the most exciting news I've ever received.

If anyone would like to go tickets are $50 but understand that 100% of the proceeds go to VHLA. An alliance that does research and cures many types of cancer. Plus it's at Durango Art Center. The best venue in Durango that rarely gets performances. And maybe the biggest detail of any great party they are surviving hors d'oeuvres.

How tech savvy is my dad? Not only did he not include my sister. He then included my mom in the group chat reminding everyone not to forget Mother's Day.

The past year in comedy has been such a blessing. I attempted a dream I've had for 10 years. To conquer my biggest dream and fear was the greatest feeling I've ever had. To have some much overwhelming support and resolve. To keep doing it, and for people I love is worth more than anything. There isn't quite as much zest in the room when I don't know anyone in the crowd. So I want to thank you Durango. It all means so much. With that said my comedy career and I are taking the next step.
