There is a detour located just west of the lighthouse on Rt. 5. If you are driving west on Rt. 5 we are before the detour just look for our sign at Point Drive North and Rt. 5 (Lake Shore Drive) take a right and travel all the way down to the end.
If you are traveling east on Rt. 5 it gets a bit more tricky. Just follow the detour and when you get to the first traffic light in Dunkirk Take a left onto Point Drive North travel all the way down to the end.

We also suggest if you are traveling in a tall RV over 10 ft you use the truck detour route. It will take you to Rt 20 in Westfield to Rt 60 in Fredonia north to Dunkirk. Take a left onto Rt 5 (Lake Shore Drive) travel one mile west to Point Drive North take a right onto Point Drive North travel all the way down to the end.
