A developing storm system could bring the potential for strong to severe storms Monday across parts of the Carolinas. It’s still over three days away, so there’s plenty of uncertainty regarding the exact track, timing, and how much instability develops.

BREAKING: The bright fireball meteor over northern Ohio earlier this week triggered a sonic boom heard across multiple states. Traveling faster than the speed of sound, the object broke apart high in the atmosphere upon entry, sending a powerful shockwave to the ground as a sudden explosive boom. The sound wasn’t from impact, it was the sky cracking under pressure. One resident in Cuyahoga County ran into their living room after hearing the blast, only to find their sliding glass doors spontaneously shattered, with glass scattered across the floor. The boom was strong enough to reach inside.
