SpecTalks: Real Talk About Autism - new episode just dropped today!
In Episode 3, “Table Talk® – Where Friendships Begin,” Executive Director Claire Dees shares the story behind one of Spectrum’s longest-running social programs for adults on the autism spectrum. Claire discusses how Table Talk® began, why opportunities to practice conversation and social skills are so important, and how a simple gathering around a table can help create meaningful connections.

The episode explores how Table Talk® provides a welcoming, supportive environment where adults can practice conversation skills, build confidence, discover shared interests, and develop friendships. Claire also shares how the program has grown over the years and how the connections that begin at Table Talk® can extend beyond the group and into the community.

Join us tonight for Spectrum's Monthly Support Group Meeting! Parents and caregivers of children with autism (ages 22 and under) are invited to join us from 6:30–8:00 PM for an evening of support, connection, and practical strategies featuring “Planning for a Loved One with Special Needs,” presented by Tommy Thompson, Jr., Financial Planner. No RSVP is required, and we'll provide free social skills groups for ages 5–22 and childcare for children under 5, so the whole family is welcome.
