" Are you a net income person or a net worth person? I’m not sure how you answered, but a net income person focuses on how much they earn and weekly, monthly, and annually. They primarily address immediate needs and wants.

On the other hand, a net worth person focuses on assets owned that create wealth for FUTURE NEEDS AND WANTS. Net income people buy based on emotion. Net worth people buy based on the financial principle of asset appreciation. Net worth people are intentional with every dollar, while the net income people have no plan other than a lifestyle. Unfortunately, too many Black people have a net income, paycheck-to-paycheck mentality.

Be real. Which best describes your financial life? Knowing what to do with your money doesn’t come with age; it’s something you have to learn. This is why one of the first values in The Culture of Money is to KNOW MORE.

Where you work doesn’t matter. How much you earn doesn’t matter. How old you are doesn’t matter. You can begin to build wealth wherever you are and make tomorrow better."
