Since August 2023, Leader, a gentle and loving Rottweiler and her devoted handler, Renice, have given more than 136.5 hours of pure love and support through the USO Canine Therapy Dog program. From deployment send-offs to homecomings, from comforting children at TAPS Good Grief Camp to standing by soldiers preparing for the unknown, Leader is always there, offering warmth, strength, and the kind of love only a furry friend can provide.

What a generous donation we received from Eagle Sout Jake Buttner, and his Boys Scout Troop 2950 Middleburg, VA, . Beautiful quilts and blankets already came in handy; we offered one to a service member who is deploying overseas today. Thank you so much for all the hard work and supporting our mission. We are grateful and blessed.

Congratulations to our Volunteer of the month, Eletta. Can you believe it, she has been with the USO since 2009. Here at Dulles, you can see here on a regular basis on Saturdays running a double shift. Eletta has so far serviced over 760 hours, we appreciate you so very much. Thank you for your fun upbeat personality, and your dedication and passion you bring to this lounge. Girl, these socks will look good on you😉. ,

Our "sunrise" girl Lana deserves to be recognized. Lana works full time and always finds time on the weekend to give back to our community. You will meet her every other Saturday early mornings, opening the doors for our travelers. Nothing is better to start the day being welcomed with a warm smile like hers. We appreciate you very much, thank you for all your hard work. 🥰

Volunteer of the month, our lovely Lisa Veatch. She reached the 1000hr milestone and volunteers at the USO Warehouse at Fort Belvoir on a regular basis to make sure USO deliveries are pallet up. Moreover, Lisa is committed at Washington Dulles International Airport with Travelers Aid and Honor Flights. Further, she is a substitute teacher in our local community. We think she never sleeps. 🥰Thank you for all the hard work, you are truly a GEM. ,

Thank you so much Loudon Lodge for saving our tails this mornin’ for our little hiccup we had! They pulled through and we had another wonderful successful USO donation run!
