I restored this beautiful old oak and walnut cutting board back to its former glory and added a little flare of my own…. Of course!

I’ve enjoyed the journey of this large bowl! It was my first piece to be displayed at the Galena Center for the Arts. I was pretty proud of that bowl! I hope its new owner loves it as much as I did!

This amazing paddle would be a beautiful addition to any boat, or add some hooks and hang it at the cabin or cottage for a unique focal point! Fractal burned using high voltage electricity, the burn patterns are unique to each piece of wood!

I tried something new tonight with this old bread bowl that was cracked, stained, scuffed and nearly ended up in my trash. I’m not 100% satisfied with it yet.
The stains may be there for good if I can’t figure something else out. So far nothing has worked including acid. The stains must go down pretty deep because tons of sanding was a fail too. HOWEVER, the copper wire tying together the crack on the bottom, I think looks pretty cool! I just need to figure out how I can tidy up the wire on the bottom.

I tried something a little different on this cutting board. I torched the handle and finished it with poly then used food safe butcher block conditioner on the rest.

This vintage butcher block was a Market Place find! The seller said her uncle had made it. Full of cut marks and stains, they are all gone now! With lots of sanding, acid, fractal burning, more sanding, and a healthy dose of waxes and mineral oil, it’s coming back to life!

Weather is FINALLY participating enough for me to start decorating Easter eggs!!!

Bought this old cutting board from a coworker. Her uncle made years ago. LOTS OF SANDING but the stains and cut marks are OUT!. I’m going to hit it with some very minimal fractal burnings soon and it’ll be up for sale!
